Zhiliang Yang is University Professor at East China Normal University, Shanghai, China. He graduated from Peking University in 1961. In 1993, he was appointed as Member of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council (Psychology Division) and has held the position for 15 years. In the same year, he became Chief Editor of the Journal of Psychological Science (in China) and assumed the responsibility until 2009. Prof. Yang was Vice President of the Chinese Psychological Association from 1997 to 2005. He was also President of the Shanghai Psychological Association from 2003 to 2011. In 2007, Prof. Yang was appointed as Fellow of the Chinese Psychological Association. He received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Chinese Psychological Association in 2011. In 2015, Prof. Yang was named National Excellent Scientific and Technological Contributor by the China Association of Science and Technology.
